Growth Parameters Rhizomonas suberifaciens
PHYSIOLOGICAL
Tropism
Oxygen obligate aerobe
pH optimum 28-33 oC upper range 36-42 oC

Requirements
Products ethanol not converted to acetic acid. Denitrification to N2 gas does not occur. Ubiquinone Q10 is present. Whole cells fatty acids consist mainly of even numbered unsaturated (18:1 and 16:1) and saturated (16:0) straight chain fatty acids as well as 2-OH- 14:0 and 17:1 fattay acids. 18:1 fatty acid represents at least 50% of the total fatty acids.
