About Windsor

Windsor, a city of 209,000 people, is situated directly south of Detroit, Michigan. It is extremely multi-cultural with over 20% of its population born outside of Canada. The city's rich cultural background is made aware by the Middle Eastern, Italian, and Asian neighborhoods.

Windsor’s river-side, the city's most well known feature, has been developed into a lush area of parkland, and offers spectacular views of the Detroit skyline.

Reflecting its American neighbor across the Detroit River, Windsor has a strong connection with the automobile industry, with many car manufacturing companies basing their Canadian headquarters in the city. More than 30,000 people are employed in automotive production by Chrysler, Ford, General Motors as well as hundreds of auto-related suppliers.

Windsor is approximately a four-hour drive from Toronto, and about five hours from Chicago.
