That conceptwas the inspiration for theUniversityof
Windsorbrandingcampaign,Promise, launched in fall 2016.
Thecampaign,which includes traditional andsocialmedia
marketing, ismeant to focusonwhatmakes theuniversity
special, says thepresident.
“Promise isabout thestudentsandwhat theycanachieve, as
well as thecommitmentof facultyandstaff. It’swhywe’rehere.”
Researchconducted for thecampaign indicated that the
school isknown for itssize, location, facultyandstaff
and
exceptional programs thatofferopportunities in theclassroom
andwell beyond, aswell asacommitment toseeingstudents
succeed.
“If wehad todistil thesequalities–andmore–intooneword,

wewouldsay ‘promise’,”saysDr.Wildeman.
“Inmanyways, the inspiration for thecampaigncame
fromstudents, faculty, staff anduniversity leadership.While the
campaignhasadefinite lookand feel that isconfidentandbold,
it isstillflexible, andcanbeadapted for theuniversity’smultiple
communicationsandstakeholderneeds.”
ThecompanySTC, based inToronto, developed the
campaign inconjunctionwithUWindsor.
