UWindsor Student Selected for Summer Seminar in Ghana

Spending her summer in Ghana working to achieve universal education is “an experience I will remember forever,” says fourth-year drama in education student Robin Stratas.

Stratas was chosen as one of 20 students from across Canada to travel to Ghana with World University Service of Canada. While in the African country, she planned to conduct a research project looking at trends in Ghana’s education system and working to ensure that the goal for universal education is met by 2015.

While on her study seminar in summer 2008, Stratas was paired with a university student from Ghana and lived with a host family. In order to complete this mission, each of the 20 students chosen had to raise $3,000.
