Award Honours First-Class Professors

Two University of Windsor Professors have won the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities 2007 Leadership in Faculty Teaching (LIFT) Awards for their ability to influence, motivate, and inspire students and for demonstrating leadership in promoting learning through effective teaching methods.

Law Professor Donna Eansor is a fervent contributor to teaching, mentoring and counselling, as well as to educational development and reform. She challenges students to critique Canadian justice and helps them develop strategies for independent learning.

Computer Science Professor Richard Frost is a faculty member who listens, helps, takes constructive action and maintains a high commitment to teaching and research. His SpeechWeb project, which involves applying advanced computer science theory to provide blind people with speech access to the web, exemplifies enthusiasm and passion for innovation in teaching.
