MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

“spring is the time of plans andprojects.”These plans and
projects always bring a sense of renewal, rebirth and an energy
that is palpable. It is the time of year on campuswhenmany
students prepare to cross the stage at convocation and start
their lives as a graduate of theUniversityof Windsor and a
member of the alumni family.
As an alumna, I am thrilled tobe the newpresident of the
Alumni AssociationBoardof Directors. I am excited towork
withour dedicatedboardmembers includingour executivemembersBethAnnPrince
(vice president), P.J. Dupuis (treasurer) and JohnRenaud (past president).We are also
happy towelcome three newboardmembers toour team: LiamPrice, DorothyLeung
andSettimoVilardi.
We have an engagedboard ready tomove forwardwithour newly adoptedStrategic
Plan. The planhas three new strategic priorities to guide theAssociation in fulfilling its
mission. Those priorities are:
1. Communicate themissionof theAlumni Association
2. Engage alumni withinfive years after graduation tobuild relationships that lead to
enhancedparticipation in the life of UWindsor
3. Buildbrand recognition and loyalty among current students
Over the next three years, the boardwill work hard to reachout to alumni through
ongoing, timely communication, sponsorshipof important alumni and student projects
andoutreach to alumni in their communities.
Our board is committed to creatingmeaningful engagement opportunities for alumni
