June 18, 2004 (3:00pm) - The James H. Bocking Memorial Award in Competition Law and Policy for the best scholarly paper addressing a competition law or policy subject. Award includes a monetary prize in the range of $1000 and an invitation to the Canadian Bar Association's annual competition law conference held in the fall in Ottawa. Further details TBA.

April 1, 2004 - Deadline to apply for the 2004 Information Technology Law Writing Competition sponsored by the Computer Law Association in association with the Marquette Intellectual Property Law Review. Full details.

April 1, 2004 - Southwestern University School of Law has started a summer program in International Entertainment and Media Law in Cambridge, England. Canadian law students are able to apply. Note that participants will not be able to receive credit for this program towards their LLB. Further details TBA.

November 14, 2003 - Deadline for the Ladas Award. The Ladas Memorial Award is an annual award that students can apply for. Subject area is trademark law or a matter that 'directly relates to or affects trademarks'.
