Ian Paul Goodman - President

Ian is a 2nd year student at the faculty of law. He graduated with a B.Sc. in Cell Biology and Genetics from the University of British Columbia. He obtained experience in making Quick Time Virtual Reality movies and operating scanning electron microscopes while working at the UBC BioImaging Facility. He can be reached at goodma5@uwindsor.ca

Merina Crowe - Membership and PR

Merina Crowe is a 2nd year law student, from Vancouver, B.C. Prior to law school Merina held numerous senior roles in the publishing, media and public relations industries. In addition to holding positions as an Editor, writer, photographer at Vancouver Lifestyles Magazine, Urban Lifestyles, and Media Relations Specialist at InContext Marketing and Public Relations, Merina has published over 100 articles in various publications across Canada. Drawing on her experience in the media industry, in the summer of 2005, Merina worked closely with several Vancouver producers in the Entertainment Industry, writing synopsis and story pitches for new television shows and films, pitching the works to major U.S. networks. Merina is a graduate from the University of British Columbia and McGill University with degrees in Psychology and Human Kinetics. Her major interests are in the areas of Entertainment, Copyright, Media and Intellectual Property Law.


past president - Telly Lebedev

Telly Lebedev (Windsor '95) recently graduated from the Faculty of Law. A Political Science major, he has a B.A. from York University and an M.A. from the University of Toronto. Prior to law school, he wrestled daily with copyright issues as a web editor and website developer for Pacific Century Cyberworks in Toronto, Canada and Kirihara Uni K.K. in Tokyo, Japan. He is currently articling in Toronto with the firm of Ricketts, Harris LLP.

 


faculty liason - Myra Tawfik

B.A. (McGill), LL.B. (McGill), B.C.L. (McGill), LL.M. (Queen Mary College, London-Intellectual Property Law), of Osgoode Hall, Barrister-at-Law, also of the Bar of Quebec. Professor Tawfik teaches Copyright Law, Debtor-Creditor, Business Associations and Immigration. Her major research interest is intellectual property law, particularly the law of copyright and related matters
