Caribbean Voyage is a two day event that occurs in
the month of November at the University of Windsor. The objective of this two day event is to educate students,
professors and the community about the Caribbean and African heritage. The first day of this event, which is
called Caribbean Voyage, displays with interesting facts about the country are set up in the CAW representing
each country from the Caribbean and Africa.
During the second day the group hosts a two hour talent show
by the name of Caribbean Live. This show includes people from the Windsor- Detroit community and even the
Toronto community where people dance, sing, and rap, read poetry and perform spoken word.
After the show the group wraps up the weekend with an after party called Bring Your Flag that is open
to the community where they can unwind, dance and listen to traditional African and Caribbean music,
such as reggae, soca, calypso and much more.
Old School Jam is an annual night event that is hosted by CAOS. What makes this event different from any other parties is the type of music and dress code that is enforced that night. For instance, all night music is played from the 1990s and earlier hence the name "Old School Jam". In addition, this is a time for people to dress in clothes from the 1990s or earlier or just dress up in costumes.
