50th anniversary, the Dept. of
English Language, Literature
and Creative Writing will
partner with the School of
Dramatic Art to stage the
theatrical adaptation of
Dr. Alistair MacLeod’s world-
renowned novel
No Great
Mischief
on campus. Award-
winning playwright David S.
Young’s 2004 adaptation of
MacLeod’s work has been
staged at several theatres
across the country to critical
acclaim. MacLeod, Young, and
Richard Rose, Artistic Director
of Toronto’s Tarragon Theatre
where it received its premiere,
will be onhand to speak to
students and the public about
their experiences writing,
producing, and directing this
