MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
There is no doubt in my mind that I would not be where
I am today without the education and relationships that I
experienced during my time at this great institution, the
University of Windsor. This is something for which I am
very thankful.
As a Human Kinetics and Business graduate, and former
member of the track and field team, the University has had a
great impact on my life and career.
One of the main reasons that my experience was such
a positive one was that I was involved in various aspects of University life while I
completed both of my degrees. I firmly believe that we owe the University a debt of
gratitude for what it has given us as its alumni. It is also up to us to ensure its future is a
great one.
Now it is my honour to be writing to you as the president of the University of
Windsor Alumni Association after being an active member of its Alumni Board for the
past eight years.
My personal goals over my two-year term are to continue to expand the financial
commitments that the Alumni Association makes to the University while ensuring that we
engage current and future alumni.
This year, we will begin our 50th anniversary celebrations in recognition of the year
we became a public institution. The Alumni Association has worked closely with senior
administration to ensure this celebration is one that pays tribute to our roots even as
we catapult into the future. I hope you will join us for our 50th Anniversary Weekend
September 19-22 (see story on page 10).
The Alumni Association is only as strong as the relationship that we have with you.
