BATES TO DRIVE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ACTIVITY THROUGH
UNIVERSITY’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY

succeeded Sue Williams
BHK ’85, MHK ’88 as UWindsor Alumni Association
president following the end of her two-year term this past
November. Bates is the owner of Refine Fitness Studio and
a sessional instructor in the Faculty of Human Kinetics.
“Having been a member of the board for some
time now, it’s an honour to be able to serve
the membership during the next two years—a
membership of more than 110,000 UWindsor
graduates,” says Bates, “I’m especially looking
forward to our participation in the University’s
50th anniversary celebrations and hope
everyone will join us to mark this significant
milestone in our history.”
Recently elected members of the Executive Committee
include John Renaud BComm ’01, partner, Renaud &
LaMantia LLP, as vice-president, and Don Bruner
BComm ’70, retired accountant, as treasurer.
