Law II

Torts I & II

The historical development of tort liability is considered including: the intentional torts of battery, assault, and false imprisonment. The negligence issues of proximate cause, contributory negligence and assumption of the risk are also discussed. Damages, strict liability, the relationship of tort and contract, defamation, invasion of privacy, no fault concepts, and comparative negligence are also covered. A Canadian Torts module is also taught.
