Meeting to explore economic competition and collaboration

A meeting of high-tech businesses and researchers included an Odette School of Business professor discussing key emerging trends in the turbulent global economy.

"The basis of competitive advantage for all firms has been shifting towards a knowledge-based advantage. The information and communication technology sector has a clear and dominant role to play in this regards," says Mark Meldrum, professor of entrepreneurship and director of the Odette Project for Technology Innovation and Commercialization (OPTIC). "Having a clear understanding of where the global economy is heading, companies today can position themselves to take full advantage of specific advantageous trends."
