Student videographers turn camera onto Green Corridor project

The Green Corridor project was the subject of one episode in the video series "On Campus with Christina and Sarah," produced by communication studies majors Christina Stojcic and Sarah Buell.

An independent study project had the students creating Web-based videos featuring stories relevant to the University community.

The Green Corridor is an environmental arts initiative for generating a redevelopment of Huron Church Road leading to the Ambassador Bridge. Its directors, UWindsor visual arts professor Rod Strickland and artist Noel Harding, have received a $12,000 Canada Council grant for the creation and production of a site-specific performance work entitled "Drive-Thru Symphony."

It will involve an orchestra of young musicians from the School of Music and Assumption High School dispersed in groups along the Green Corridor and led by professional musicians. Each group of musicians will play off of one another as well as the engine, brake, and horn sounds made by passing traffic.
