Olanyi Parsons:  President
Olanyi Parsons is entering his second year of law school at the University of Windsor. He received his Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Latin American and Caribbean Studies from York University.

As President of the Black Law Students’ Association, Olanyi acts in a management and liaison capacity. Some of his presidential responsibilities include: carrying out the Association’s mandates, maintaining open communication with the faculty and administration on behalf of the Association, and calling and chairing meetings.

Prior to attending law school, Olanyi worked at the Ontario Human Rights Commission as an Investigation Officer.  Olanyi also takes great pride in the fact that he was able to reconnect with his roots when he attended the World Conference Against Racism in South Africa, and studied for one year at the University of the West Indies Mona campus in Kingston, Jamaica.

Some of Olanyi’s interests are playing basketball and dominoes, listening to music, and spending time with his wife and son.

lisa Lisa Morgan: Vice President
Lisa Morgan is currently entering her 3rd year of Law School at the University of Windsor. She has an Honours Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Psychology and a Master's Degree in Sociology. Lisa has a wide range of legal interests but would like to practice labour and employment law, and entertainment law. While attending the University Lisa is employed with the federal government, working with a variety of legislative directives with a strong focus on citizenship and immigration. Lisa has volunteered and been involved with several programs dealing with at risk youths and she hopes to use her knowledge and experiences to provide legal support to black youths throughout Canada.
lisa Charissa Cobbler: Treasurer
Charissa Cobbler is entering her second year at the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law. In 2006, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Development Studies at the University of Windsor. In fact, Charissa has lived in Windsor for her entire life. Her interests and extra-curricular activities focus on issues of social justice and human rights, homelessness, mission work and community outreach.
Charissa plans to pursue a legal career in the arena of international law, but she is still open to exploring various areas of law that address social justice issues.

Christine La Fleur: Secretary
Christine La Fleur is entering her second year at the University of Windsor's Faculty of Law. She attended the University of Toronto and obtained her undergraduate degree in 2005. She graduated with a joint specialist degree in History and Political Science. She went on to pursue a Masters degree at York University in History where she specialized in Migration and Ethnicity in Canada with a special focus on the role of multiculturalism in history education.

Christine enjoys reading, writing, dancing, and eating good food!

Christine is currently the National Mentorship Representative for the Black Law Students' Association of Canada for 2007-2008
