The Weekend of August 25th, 2007 is going to be an exciting festival of foods, arts and crafts, and music celebrating many diverse African cultures.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Charter, this special Osgoode Professional Development event has been created to provide you with the best analysis and insight you can get on how the Charter has shaped, and continues to shape criminal justice in Canada. Osgoode Hall Law School Professors Jamie Cameron and James Stribopoulos have assembled a faculty of leading experts who will share their reflections on what the Charter has done, what it hasn’t done, and whether it is creating a more just society.

The conference will be held at University of Toronto Conference Centre at 89 Chestnut Street, with dinner at Osgoode Hall.

NBLSA International Negotiations Competition: 2007-2008
The Competition will be held in Detroit, Michigan.  The Competition is open to all NBLSA members, as well as JD, LLM, and LLB candidates from around the world. NBLSA encourage first-year students to participate since no formal training or background is required to be a successful negotiator.

17th Annual National Conference
"Looking Forward, Looking Back:  A Celebration of Black Canadian Achievements in Law"

Last year's conference "Creating a New Reality: A Commitment to the Law, Our Community and Ourselves"  was an uplifting, stimulating and enlightening experience.  The Windsor students who were able to attend this year have gained substantially from this experience and look with eager anticipation to the next session.
