CAMPUS COMMUNITY BBQ
Noon – 1:30 pm
We’re kicking off the celebrations with
our campus community with a free
BBQ lunch, including a special birthday
dessert presented in the centre of
campus between Dillon Hall and the
Chrysler Hall buildings. Live music will
be performed by student musicians -
dancing is encouraged! 18,000 students,
faculty and staff will be invited to attend.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20
WELCOME TENT
11:30 am – 4 pm
Located at the centre of campus,
the Welcome Tent will serve as the
information booth for visitors signing
up for a campus tour, registering for
special alumni events or the Sunday
fun run. The Campus Passport contest
and special lunch promotions for the
Market Place will also be available. 50th
Anniversary merchandise will be on
sale. The Welcome Tent will be available
all day on Friday and Saturday.
WEEKEND KICK-OFF LUNCHEON
Noon – 2 pm
This special celebration will feature
a three-course, plated luncheon for
300 of UWindsor’s key stakeholders, in
Ambassador Auditorium. Ticket sales
will raise funds for 50th Anniversary
scholarships. To add to the festive
atmosphere, the 50th Anniversary
video, produced and co-sponsored by
Suede Productions, will be launched,
fundraising initiatives will be
announced, and special alumni guests
will be invited to participate in the
program. This event will be broadcast
through the UWindsor website for
alumni who are unable to attend.
STUDENT BIRTHDAY PARTY
2 pm – 4 pm
Student groups are planning a birthday
party celebration in the CAW Student
Centre with live music and birthday
cake
