Tadiboyina Venkateswarlu was born in Tenali in a lower middle class family. He received his high school diploma from Municipal Boys’ High School, Tenali, Undergraduate Degree in Economics from V.S.R. College, Tenali, Graduate Degree in Economics from Andhra University, Postgraduate Degrees in Economics and Information Science, from University of Alberta., Canada and University of Western Ontario, Canada. He went to Canada in 1965 as a student to pursue his postgraduate studies. After his studies in Canada, he taught for two years at Red Deer College, Alberta, Canada. He moved to Windsor where he joined as a faculty member at University of Windsor in 1971. He has been at University of Windsor since 1971.

Community Service

  • Founder and president of Educational Organization for Orphaned and Handicapped Children, non-profit registered organization in India since 1992.
  • Established a residential school named after his father as Tadiboyina Ramaiah School for poor and orphaned children in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh in 1992 under the supervision of Educational Organization for Orphaned and Handicapped Children.
  • Visits India annually two times to check the progress of the residential school in Tenali.
  • The school has 146 children, 10 full-time, 5 part-time teachers, 4 support staff members. The school has a clinic, a dorm, a guest house, and a vegetable garden for the children. It is located at Burrepalem Road, Lakshminagar Colony, Tenali. The school offers both academic subjects up to class 10 and vocational courses in carpentry, tailoring, embroidery, chalk piece making, gardening and surf manufacturing.
  • Established Rain Water Conservation Pit for School children’s consumption at the ground water level reached near depletion.
  • Established a fast food centre in Tenali to old students who make a living managing the food centre.
  • Solar energy plant is being established at the school to supply power to the school, the dorms, the clinic and the guest house.
  • English medium instruction is offered from LKG to Grade 10.
