Campus Carrousel a celebration of cultures

Hundreds of students, faculty and staff gathered in the CAW Student Centre Commons to enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Carrousel of the Nations on campus in January 2009. Members of the university community shared their cultures through educational displays, music and dance performances—and food and drink.

UWindsor President Alan Wildeman presented Diversity Leadership Awards to long-time student volunteers Mallika Padmanabhan and Abu Md Fazle Arif. The award recognizes their outstanding commitment to promoting and celebrating diversity on campus since they came to the University over four years ago. Both worked with numerous groups on campus, including the Volunteer Internship Student Association, the International Student Centre, the Diversity Ambassador Program and the Human Rights Office.
