interviewing suggestions

               For the Interviewer:
        1. give the interviewee time to think before answering
        2. if a question doesn’t work move on and come back at the end
        3. let the interviewee wander off the question path.  If the question isn’t answered, ask it again.
        4. only interrupt the person you are interviewing for clarification, or to repeat what they said.
        5. resist correcting or editing the person you are interviewing, or cutting them off.
        6. write verbatim, but leave out the ums and ohs and like ah.
        7. print, if you are unsure how legible your handwriting is.

    For the Interviewee:
        1. speak slowly, take your time
        2. keep it short, you can add things later
        3. try NOT to repeat yourself
