Hebron: In the Eye of the Storm

The installation is curetted by Henrjeta Mece. The show includes the photographers Miki Kratsman and Eldad Rafaelie, in cooperation with Breaking the Silence; an organization of veteran Israeli soldiers who have documented hundred of interviews from soldiers who have served in the Occupied Territories and ActiveStills; a group of Israeli and Palestinian documentary photographers depicting Hebron over the last forty years of it’s occupation. The tough photos of today' occupied city juxtaposed with older pictures shows how beautiful and peaceful the place was many years before.
 
Toronto award-winning Richard Fung’s “Jehad In Motion” where Jehad Aliweiwi, a Palestinian Canadian who lives in Toronto regularly returns to visit his family in Hebron. This compelling video installation reflects on Diaspora, urban space and  the cross-pollination of politics and culture.
 
Short films from B’Tselem’s breakthrough project ‘Shooting Back.’ B’Tselem is an r-spacing: -0.25pt;">Israeli human rights organization that endeavours to document and educate the Israeli public and policymakers about human rights violations in the Occupied Territories
