The Interview
                 
                Use another student from our class as an interviewer (you can trade). if not then another friend will be OK.
                 
                interviewing suggestions
                    
                               For the Interviewer:    
                        1. give the interviewee time to think before answering
                        2. if a question doesn’t work move on and come back at the end
                        3. let the interviewee wander off the question path.  If the question isn’t answered, ask it again.
                        4. only interrupt the person you are interviewing for clarification, or to repeat what they said.
                        5. resist correcting or editing the person you are interviewing, or cutting them off.
                        6. write verbatim, but leave out the ums and ohs and like ah.
                        7. print, if you are unsure how legible your handwriting is.
                 
                    For the Interviewee:
                        1. speak slowly, take your time
                        2. keep it short, you can add things later
                        3. try NOT to repeat yourself

                            1. What is currently exciting you about your work ?
                 
                            2. How do you approach your work
                 
                            3. What is the philosophical or emotional base you work off of
                 
                            4. What stimulates ideas for you
                 
                            5. What materials do you use. Why these and not something else.
