The "Letter" grade at step 1 is based on a composite mark from
all assignments (Forums participation, Forums assignments, in-class
assignments, project, Brochures, Self and Peer evaluations, and
Tests....) as weighted according to the syllabus. At step 2, adjustments
could have been made to ensure a fairer distribution of letter grades
(sometimes hindered as a result of phenomena like regression to the
mean). This "Letter" grade is the grade that I plan to submit to the
Dean's office. If the Dean's office objects, with the claim that the
grades are too high I would be required to submit grades more in line
with a normal distribution. The adjustment would then be based on rank
(across all three 80-203 classes) and that grade would be the grade
listed in the "Possible" column.
If your assignment mark for Fred is missing (and you submitted it) you should e-mail Bo
