The rubrics are samples used for evaluating the brochures and the presentations. They are given after the task for two reasons. First, it has been my experience that more creativity emerges when people are left to their own devices. When specific items guiding evaluation are provided students attempt to structure their products to align with those items. Second, providing such a detailed rubric may encourage students to do "too much." When students view the numerous items in the rubric I suspect they would be driven to do far more than is actually required to achieve a decent mark.
