Housing / Accommodations

Nights of Sunday, 24 May to Saturday, 6 June, 2009, inclusive

 

A.   One can privately make accommodation arrangements with a motel or hotel in Windsor  (directly or through a travel agent). (See below)

B.    One can arrange for accommodations at the University of Windsor. There are two types of accommodation available at the University. (All amounts are in Canadian dollars.)

 

Rooms are available to those attending the conference in either of two residences at the University of Windsor.

 

1. Alumni Hall 

Suites with 2 one-person bedrooms, kitchenette, bathroom.

            1 person, $86 + taxes

            2 persons, $49.50 each + taxes

2. Canterbury College

A private, one-person bedroom, on a floor with a w.c. and a shower shared with up to 4 persons on the floor. A ground floor common room and a full kitchen are shared by three floors. 

 $50/night or $200/week

If you don’t already have a room-mate or room-mates and you would like us to try to find others to share a suite with you on the basis of (2)(ii) or (2)(iii), please contact hhansen@uwindsor.ca with your preferences and we will try to find a room-mate or room-mates among Summer Institute students with the same preference, to share a suite with you. We can give no assurance that we will be able to do so.

Those wishing to register for the Summer Institute or the Course should make their intentions known to us by February 2nd, 2009.
