I
t was a jam-packed, amazing spring for the University of
Windsor Alumni Association.
We celebrated Spring Convocation in June, welcoming
3,000 new members to the alumni family.This is also the time
of year when we present several Alumni Association awards that
recognize teaching and student achievement.
When we watch our proud graduates cross the convocation
stage, and read the wonderful award nomination letters, it
reinforces for us that there is no shortage of incredible stories
about our campus community.
Also, this past June, the first-ever UWindsor photo book set out to capture those stories
(see page 56).This 120-page, hardcover collection of beautiful images, stories and anecdotes
captures a year in the life of our campus.The Alumni Association was pleased to sponsor
the entire cost so that all proceeds from its sales can benefit 50th Anniversary Student
Scholarships.The goal is to raise more than $100,000. You can order it online at

This fall, the Alumni Association will also be the proud presenting sponsor of the
University of Windsor’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Weekend, Sept. 19-22.
The festivities will include activities and events for all ages for not only the UWindsor
community—but for Windsor, Essex County, and beyond. Please see

All of these activities indicate the great extent to which your Alumni Association is
involved in just about every aspect of University of Windsor campus life and the pride we
take in that partnership.We look for forward to continuing that in the future.
