Secondly, the need was recognized for a detailed statement to accompany every pension payment from Canada Trust, showing at least the following information.

1) Whether the retiree is currently on minimum guarantee or money purchase, 2) The gross amount of that month's payment, 3) The deduction for Income Tax, 4) The deduction for Medical/Dental Plan, and 5) The net payment for that month.

Thirdly, the question was discussed whether medical and dental benefits would cost less if retirees and active members had separate plans. And finlly, under this heading the question was raised as to whether other carriers have been examined.

Lastly, the retirees' group raised a number of more general questions of interest to retrirees which the University likewise promised to examine and report back on. These included (l) the NEWSLINE for Retirees, (2) Mailing arrangements for the Retirees' Association for receiving and sending official mail of the Association at the University Post Office, (3) Parking booklets for retirees, and (4) a clarification for retirees concerning their borrowing privileges at the University Library.

As indicated above, the University stated it would get back to the other members of the committee on these issues.
