DOSE RESPONSE
Over and above the effect of the presence of the programme in schools, there was also a dose response (i.e. higher dose, greater effect).
- Pupils who reported greater awareness of the programme and more participation in its activities had significantly larger desirable changes than those with less awareness and participation.
- Some effects were only present for pupils with higher awareness and participation ( boys sexual activity, belief that ‘no’ means ‘no’).
- Exposure for 2 years produced larger results than for 1 year.
