 This picture probably represents the supreme moment in our NASCAR participation. It appeared on the sports page of the Detroit Free Press in August 2006, and was taken during one of Ernie Irvan's MIS Walkathons to raise money for his Head Injuries Foundation. Joanne marched next to Ernie, and chatted to him for most of the two mile walk around the track. |

The previous year we had had our picture taken with Ernie, but the photographer had cut her right out of the photo, and therefore, this time, just to make sure, I took the picture myself. |

During the years that we have been attending races, we have had plenty of opportunity to meet our favourite drivers, which is one of the reasons why we love NASCAR so much. I have taken a nuimber of great photos of Joanne and me with some of our racing heroes, as well as making an impressive collection of autographs. Our primary locations have been in the pits at Michigan International Speedway, and on State Street in Bristol, Va./Tenn. during Family Race Fest Day.
