Timing an event
The easiest set up is a clock at the finish line so the runners can see
their times as they cross the finish line. Guess what half of them
forget to look. Thus you need a recording of the time. A chronomix or
other such device can do the task. So can our computer system.
Start the computer when the gun goes and hit the appropriate key as each
person crosses the line. Wow you get a file with all of the times in it.
