I received the Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM) under the advise of Dr. Adolfo G. Navarro-Siguenza. During that period I studied the geographic variation in the songs of Common Bush Tanagers and Rufous-naped Wrens.  In January 2009, I joined the Mennill Lab where I conducted my doctoral research program on the vocal behaviour and of song in Troglodytes wrens. In March 2014, I joined Katherine Renton’s Lab as a postdostoral fellow conducting research in acoustic communication in parakeets and wrens.
