MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
I amproud tobe the newboardpresident and look forward
to themany exciting things to come for the association and
our university.
One of the things I have recentlynoticed is the energy
that you can feel on campus these days.Walkingon the newly
closedSunset Ave., you can feel the pride that students, faculty,
staff and volunteers experience as theywitness the tremendous
transformationour campus is undergoing. The campus not only
looks different, it
feels
different. The positive enthusiasm for
change is palpable.
TheAlumni Association is proud toplay amajor role in the campus transformation
withour recently announced $750,000donation to theUniversity’s capital campaign.
Our giftwill support the creationof a 21st-century campus that is people-centred and
intertwinedwithour community.
From the downtown campus locations to theWelcomeCentre, the soon-to-be
newhome of theAlumni Affairs andDonor Communications office, these changes are
creating a culture of excellence at UWindsor.
Aswe partnerwith the universityon the campus transformation, we also continue
to reachout toour graduates across the country and theworld. Last year, our alumni
office proudlyhosted events inOttawa, Calgary, Toronto, Stratford and evenHongKong.
This year, wewill continue this outreach and I, personally, look forward tomeeting
manyof you at these alumni events.
