is the manager of the chemical
control centre. He has served as a
volunteer of the Board’s Public Affairs
and Alumni Services Committees, and
has an extensive list of community
involvement, memberships and
affiliations.
Anna Godo BASc ’86, MASc ’90
is an engineer III – Drainage
Superintendent with the City of
Windsor. She is a founding member
of Women of Engineering and
Development – a local group
which promotes networking among
colleagues in the engineering and
technology field, and a panellist at the University’s
Go Engineering Girl event and the Women in
Engineering Night.
Jennifer Simpson Rooke
BA ’02, LLB ’05
is a lawyer with
the Mousseau, DeLuca, McPherson,
Prince Law Firm. She volunteers
with many community organizations
including the Windsor Hiatus House,
the Church of Ascension, and
Sister-to-Sister.
Vince Bassman BComm ’70
is
a former president of the Alumni
Association Board of Directors
and a recipient of the University’s
prestigious Clark Award recognizing
his outstanding and ongoing support.
During his term as president, the
Alumni Association made its first
substantial monetary gift to the University, a cheque for
$100,000 in support of the Leon Z. McPherson Alumni
Reception Centre relocated in the new student residence,
Alumni Hall. Bassman is a member of the Windsor/Essex
County Sports Hall of Fame, a former member of the
Ontario Hockey League Board of Governors and the past
treasurer and vice-chair of the Community Care Access
Centre Board.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS?
This year,
your Alumni Association Board of Directors will
be seeking dedicated and interested individuals to fill five
vacancies for the position of director to be elected to the first
of three, two-year terms.
A director is generally responsible for attending three
regular board meetings per year, as well as the Annual General
Meeting, monthly meetings of standing committees and
special events sponsored by the Association throughout the
year i.e., convocations, golf tournaments, receptions, special
announcements and events.

The Alumni Association Board of Directors is pleased to welcome three new members to its ranks and welcome
back a good friend. Three new members, Chris Busch, Jennifer Simpson Rooke and Anna Godo, will take
the position of director on the board, while Vince Bassman is returning to the board, this time as the alumni
representative to the Board of Governors.
