Vehicle Ownership Submodule of SMARTPLANS

This submodule predicts the number of vehicles by vehicle type. Results from this submodule can be used as input to the Modal Split Submodule, particularly as variable in the auto and cycling modes. In the context of SMARTPLANS, the user is given an option to model the ownership of several vehicle classes A (e.g., cars and bicycles). The Vehicle Ownership model predicts the number of vehicles in each zone i as a linear function of the characteristics of the zone. That is:
