Friday, October 30, 1998                             SOCR Service Improvement

  Effective Friday, October 30, 1998, the commands listed below (which are
supported by SOCR) are no longer available on node server (SGI Challenge XL).
Instead, these command are now available from SOCR's new machine using the 
command "telnet socr.uwindsor.ca" (without quotes).
  If you have concerns or questions about this change please contact 
SOCR by email at SOCR@UWindsor.Ca or by phone at 253-3000 ext. 7627. SOCR
regrets any inconveniences that this change may cause.
  IT Services is also concerned about what you think. It is our hope that
this transistion in student supported services would not be disruptive.
