PARKING BOOKLETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE TO RETIREES

After some organizational delay, the parking booklets which the Association arranged on behalf of retirees arg now available. These are books of ten tickets for $10, each ticket entitling the holder to an entry into M-lot, near the Library. The usual entry fee to the lot is $3. These books are available to retirees only. They may be purchased at the Security and Parking Office on Sunset Avenue.


RETIREES WELCOME TO USE THE NEWLY RENOVATED FACULTY CLUB

The Faculty Club in Vanier Hall has been completely renovated. The new decor is very attractive and the new menu is most pleasing.

Retirees, as Associate Members of the Faculty Association, are welcome to patronize the Faculty Club. They may receive yellow cards from the hostess. These will entitle them to any special price arrangements available to current faculty members.


NOTICES OF RETIREE DEATHS

With great sadness we report the passing of Florence Roach, formerly Director of the School of Nursing, Dan Kelly, formerly Director of the School of Dramatic Art; and William Dollar, formerly Chief Librarian of the Leddy Library. These retirees were very popular during their days on campus. All who knew them will be deeply touched by their deaths.


REPORT OF A MEETING OF THE RETIRED MEMBERS PENSION COMMITTEE

The Retired Members Pension Committee, as constituted in the Faculty Association contract with the University, met on June 30th, 1992.

The Retirees' Association was represented by members Norm Shklov, Bill Phillips and Walt Romanow, who, ,with Faculty Association President Ed Habib, met with University Admin representatives, V-Ps Terry Parkinson and Bill Jones, and Human Resources officials Jim Butler and Jim Skinner.

The topics under discussion were:
1) the performance and availability of information on the Pension Fund.
2) The dissemination on the Health Plan.of information.
3)Access to University recreational facilities by retirees.
4) University (non-monetary) help to retirees engaged in demonstrably successful research.

Re items 1 and 2, the Administration promised complete access to all information regarding all developments related to the Pension and Health Plans. As a result, the President of the Retirees' Association now has a complete record of the performance of the Pension Fund since 1980. This information is available to all members upon request.

Re item 3, the representatives were assured that retirees have complete access to University recreational facilities. Simply show the yellow
