ATTENDANCE DISAPPOINTING AT ASSOCIATION'S THIRD MEETING

The Retirees' Association held its third meeting on October 17th, 1991. Attendance at the meeting was below expectations, at 15 members. Notable among the decisions taken at the meeting was the adoption of an initial constitution for the Association. (See separate sheet). Minutes of the meeting are enclosed with this Newsletter .


UNIVERSITY POST OFFICE WILL RECEIVE ASSOCIATION'S MAIL

"NEWSLINE" NOW AVAILABLE TO ASSOCIATION MEMBERS

The Association has arranged to receive, for the membership, 50 copies of each publication of the University's Newsline. Getting these distributed to interested members is still a problem, because of the high mailing costs. If you have a suggestion, please let us know. call Norm Shklov at 966-3415 or Bill Phillips at 972-0588. We would be glad to send a copy, addressed to you, to your departmental base at the University if you can arrange to pick it up there.


THE LATEST ON PARKING FOR RETIREES AT THE UNIVERSITY

In response to requests from the Retirees' Association, the University has agreed to make parking available to retirees at half the normal rate. Books of ten tickets are being made up and may be purchased by retirees for $10.00. Tickets are f or H Lot, next to the Leddy Library (enter from University Ave.). Books of tickets may be picked up from the Campus Security Office on Sunset Avenue.


ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL DUES SET AT $15.00

The Association's dues are now $15 per year. This was unanimously approved at the meeting of October 17th. The Secretary-Treasurer pointed out that the dues are the Association's only source of funds. Please note that the fees for the current year (Fall, 1991 to Fall, 1992) are now due. Make cheques payable to: U of W Fac/Lib Retirees' Ass'n, and mail to the Association at:
University of Windsor,
Windsor, Ont. N9B 3P4.

The membership list will be revised and a complete list of paid-up members sent out early in the new year. In introducing the new dues proposal, the Secretary-Treasurer reminded members that, because of high mailing and associated costs, it is not possible to send out follow-up notices regarding dues payable. Thus, if you wish to continue as a member, please be sure to pay your dues a.s.a.p.
