COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS IMPROVED INDEXATION FORMULA

(Cont'd from p. 5, Col 1)

The Committee recommended the replacement of the old indexation formula by one that ensures that the Min. Gtd. Benefit win be increased by the full amount of any increase in CPI, up to 2%. If the CPI increases by more than 2%, there is a table which indicates further increases in the Min. Gtd. Benefit. These increases are a portion of the full increase in CPI above 2%, and will be discussed at the March meeting. At the time of going to print, we were waiting confirmation that the foregoing recommendations had received final approval. Even without such confirmation we feel quite sure that they have.

WE PLAN TO INVITE MR. JIM SKINNER TO ATTEND A PORTION OF THE THE MARCH 24TH MEETING TO EXPLAIN THE CHANGES IN PENSION AND BENEFITS WHICH RESULTED FROM THE LAST NEGOTIATIONS
