The Taylor Matters Newsletter was conceived by and co-editted by Selinda Berg and Kristin Hoffmann. The newsletter is published three times a year, and focuses on the staff, events, and products of the Taylor Library.
The intent of this self directed learning program is to a assist the beginning nursing student to develop the knowledge and skill necessary for clinical skills. The program is based on the following principles:
1. All three domains of learning; cognitive, affective, and psychomotor are involved in the acquisition of psychomotor skills.
2. Prior knowledge of physiology, anatomy, biology, and the humanities is vital to the understanding and practice of psychomotor skills.
3. Nurses should engage in evidence-based practice.
