Graphics Assignment Choices

Working with a partner of your choice if you wish, use the draw program on the IBM-compatible computers to draw a single picture of a concept addressed in one grade-specific overall expectation from the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum appropriate for your division in which students usually have difficulty understanding. The concept drawing must include the grade-specific overall expectation from the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum but must not include any other words. The drawing must have many different representations of the concept presented in an organized manner.

The animation program on the IBM-compatible computers allows the creation of an animation "movie" by displaying a series of drawings quickly in succession. Working with a partner of your choice if you wish, create an animation movie with 5-8 drawing frames of an action concept addressed in one specific outcome from the Common Curriculum appropriate for your division in which students usually have difficulty understanding.

Prerequisites: Familiarity with a draw program

Act as a facilitator to help your classmates use the draw program. You will be evaluated by your classmates.

Working with a partner of your choice if you wish, use Web page authoring software to create a Web page that addresses, in an organized manner, either one grade-specific overall expectation from the Ontario Curriculum (Mathematics/Language) or one specific outcome from the Common Curriculum (all other subject areas) appropriate for your division. The Web page must include at least ten links to other differentiated Web resources and be student focused. This assignment will count for both your Graphics and Instructional Design assignment.

Prerequisites: Not chosen in a previous assignment, familiarity with Windows, a graphics-based World Wide Web browser and word processing
