On 24 March 2009, version 8.11a - a major new release for University of Windsor users - was made available to registered users and to University of Windsor users under the University's site license. For University of Windsor users it implements the ability to submit final grades to the University's eGrade Submission System directly from Class Record.

Class Record is an electronic grade book designed to be fast, flexible, powerful and easy to use.

The most current release of Class Record is version 8.11a, build 239 (compiled on 11 May 2011). No one should be using a release whose build number is below 198  It is very strongly recommended that all users upgrade to at least build 231 and that University of Windsor users upgrade to at least build 236.

  • Class Record for Windows is available free of charge to University of Windsor employees for use in connection with courses taught at the University. The  site license which covers such use applies only to the. University of Windsor edition of the program.

  • Other users should consult the registration page on this Web site.

  • Features recently added. University of Windsor users can now submit final grades electronically to the eGrade Submission System directly from Class Record; they can now also send grades and statistical reports directly from Class Record to the University's CLEW learning management system. The Class Record mailer now supports encrypted logon to outgoing mail servers, Class Record has a new Help system and is fully compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7.

  • For University of Windsor faculty using the program under the University site license, version 8.10 now includes all features of the "full" version, including an optional spreadsheet view of data, the ability to undo the last 30 changes made, significantly enhanced capabilities in the Class Record mailer and powerful new features for managing multi-section courses.   • You can download the Class Record Tutorial (revised September 2007 - about one megabyte in size). It contains a hands-on demonstration of the basic features of the program. Since the tutorial is in PDF format, you will need Adobe® Acrobat® Reader  to use it. (The tutorial was originally developed under the auspices of the Windsor Centre for Flexible Learning, and is oriented to University of Windsor users.) 

  • For University of Windsor users, Class Record for Windows has the ability to fetch class lists electronically with just a few mouse clicks. For details, see the Class Lists page.

Class Record for Windows requires Windows 95/98/ME,  Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows VistaClass Record for Windows  does not run under Windows 3.1.
