Information about Abstracts Contents: The Organizing Committee invites proposals for papers in informal logic, rhetoric or argumentation theory on topics related to the above theme. Papers should contribute to a problem or issue in one or more of these areas, and be accessible to a scholarly audience whose members come from a variety of disciplines related to these areas. Form: Abstracts must in a form suitable for blind refereeing, with no self-identifying references. Title your abstract (no more than ten words). Send your Abstract as an attachment and accompany it with a note containing your name and contact information, and the Abstract title. Length: Abstracts should be between 200 and 250 words long. Method of submission: Abstracts must be submitted electronically as attachments in Word or WordPerfect readable by DOS. Mac users please convert to RTF. Abstracts should be sent to: <hhansen@uwindsor.ca> with “OSSA abstract” in the subject line. Dates: Abstracts are due no later than September 8, 2008. You will be informed whether your paper has been accepted for the program by 1 November 2008. Graduate Students: Please inform us if you are graduate student, so that your paper can be considered for the J. Anthony Blair Prize, awarded to an outstanding student paper presented at the conference. (See the Blair Prize file on this website.) Canadian Graduate Students: If you need financial assistance to attend the conference, please inform us in the e-mail in which you attach your Abstract.
