  • The situation & process by which the behaviour takes place (5W+H)
  • Nature of forces that produce the behaviour (biological, social, cultural, peer, economic, gender, …)
  • What messages are being received & from whom
  • What key adults believe about proposed behaviour change messages & strategies
  • Motivation of pupils & teachers to take on new roles

• Quantitative (surveys) used to provide information about

  • Ages & stages related to behaviour of interest
  • Frequency
  • Key influencing and risk factors

• Intervention managers must be willing & able to re-direct intervention based on the above
