CONCLUSIONS

• PSABH trained teachers quickly took up implementation of HIV programming in schools

• In schools with high levels of HIV prevention programming

  • Pupil knowledge about HIV prevention was higher
  • Pupils were more likely to have attitudes that fostered delaying sexual activity
  • Pupils began exhibiting behaviours associated with delaying sexual activity

• Teachers & pupils have difficulties dealing with condoms as a viable means of protection.
