Moving to Windsor Ontario:

Unpacking the Laboratory in October 2002

In late August 2002, Dr Reddish moved from the University of Newcastle (UK) to the University of Windsor (Ontarion, Canada). This was not only a big move for his family, but also for his Laboratory! Here are photos showing the arrival of two container's worth of equipment at Windsor, having first traveled by sea from Liverpool to Montreal. A special "Thank you" to Drs John MacAskill  and Charles Malone, and all who helped unload, de-crate and move all the equipment into it new home!

Container number one arrives!!!

Everyone pull together

The fork lift is only just big (heavy) enough!

The crate was too big to fit inside, so it was de-crated outside
This laboratory has never been this empty for twenty years, and it only just received it's first coat of paint and washed windows in that time!
John MacAskill chearfully and willingly pitched in for the big move.

Looks like Christmas for Dr. Reddish
Good grief I need a bigger lab!

Thank goodness some apparatus comes on wheels.

The leaning tower of Pisa; we are insured right?
