Message from the President:

Greetings, one and all. Welcome back to another great season in the South Channel.

E mail update: Those of you who are on e mail will have recently received electronic versions of the Rattlesnake Tales newsletter, updating you on issues relating to endangered reptiles in the Georgian Bay area and an update from the GBA. If you did not receive these it means that we don’t have an e mail address for you. We do send out electronic correspondence on occasion, so you if you like to receive it, please let me know your e mail address. You can contact me by e mail at Tracy.Biggar@jus.gov.on.ca Please be assured that your e mail address remains completely confidential.

Urgent need for executive member: We are still in need of someone to take on the role of treasurer for the South Channel Association. If you are interested, or know of someone please pass this information on to someone in the executive – all our contact information is in the recent directory that was sent out in March, or contact me by e mail if you prefer.

To our American members: I would like to take a moment and remind you that, since you cannot vote in Canadian elections, the South Channel Association is your only opportunity for a voice in the issues that concern you. Through the SCA you have a voice at every level of government from local to federal and even international. Another reason to get involved!!!!

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Sunday July 31, 2005

Glen Burney Marina

Coffee and socializing, 9:30

Meeting commences 10am sharp

Lunch and Raffle to follow

Hope to see you all at the AGM on July 31. The last thing most of us want to do is spend our time at the cottage in a meeting. So, we have always endeavoured to move through the agenda items quickly and get right to the lunch and socializing. Once again, the complimentary buffet lunch will be provided by Glen Burney Marina. Bring your appetites and your enthusiasm and we will see you there!
