 SEARCH FOR NEW SCA MEMBERSHIP CHAIRPERSON

 

 August 2011 a new SCA Membership Chairperson is required.  A summary of the job description is as follows :

August

-Assist with the AGM – process new memberships, present a membership report at the AGM

- Update the membership list following AGM – distribute to executive, SCA newsletter editor and GBA Update – provide them with accurate mailing information

September

-Update mailing labels in preparation for winter membership drive

-Purchase necessary supplies – envelops, labels, stamps

 

March

-Prepare cover letter and membership form – send out mailing to current members and past members who have allowed membership to lapse.

-Update annual Directory – sent out in winter newsletter

 

April –May

-Collect completed forms and cheques.

-Send out reminder letter or emails re membership renewal

-Deliver cheques to Treasurer

-Mail out membership cards – includes short letter, flyer advertising AGM, member card

 

Attend  executive meetings – generally at the cottage in May, July, AGM-August, conference calls during winter months.

 

Computer files saved in Word and Excel include sample letters and notes to membership; membership lists; SCA Directory; membership renewal form; mailing labels.
