2^nd Annual “Clean Up the Bay Contest”

 

SCA will again host a “Clean up the Bay” contest to run from June 1^st through July 31^st.  We invite young people ages 5-12 to participate and have the chance of winning some great prizes along with recognition in our summer news letter.

 

To participate just scout out the shore line in your area or anywhere you travel in Georgian Bay, pick up some non-biodegradable trash and you are  on your way to winning!   Take a photograph of yourself (and your friends) showing your trash with a cottage type scene in the background.  We are going to award prizes based on 1.) most trash, 2.) most unusual trash and 3.)  largest single piece.

 

Your photograph and name will appear in our August news letter and you will be recognized as a young environmentalist doing something about pollution.  Awards will be announced at our SCA’s Annual Meeting at Glen Burney Marina (your attendance is not required to win)  in early August.
