Hermiston Newsletter Volume 3 1998
Sorry I have been so long in producing Newsletter 3. However I will find out
now if people actually read the newsletter. PLEASE when you are finished go back
to the main menu and enter both your email and snail mail addresses... then
I'll know if you actually read this issue. Seriously then I'll have a record of your
snail mail address and phone number. I'll set up a link at the end of the newsletter
to take you back to the main menu to "JOIN LIST" again please do that for me.
Well our trip west was a great success adding many Hermistons to the list. I have
now started on our American relatives and have been in contact with a John Hermiston
in Iowa... whose father passed away in May at the age of 103! Maybe I'll be able to
link the western Hermistons to the IOWA or Montana group. The latter group are being
gathered together by Pamella Hermiston from Alaska.
I spent 3 days in the New Liskeard area trying to gather data on the Hermestons.
It appears that the group there have one family who spell their names Hermiston
Not sure how I'll settle the problem and where it began but it should be fun.
The group was very prominent in the North and added about 50 names to our tree.
Remember we are off to Scotland in November so we need any ideas you have re:
rumours (or facts) about our ancestors in Scotland. Particularily any comments
on the ships they travelled on to get to this side of the pond.
I'm sure that there are more Hermistons out there with emails if you know of any
just email me their email address and I'll do the rest!
